Overview
Coiner Wallet's mission is to create a friendly user experience for individuals new to crypto and for those who have been following crypto for years. With this goal in mind, we created an app that is simple, intuitive, and easy to use. Our app allows you to send or receive money in real time with just a few clicks. It also stores your private keys on your device so that you can access them anytime without worrying about losing them or getting hacked.
About
Coiner aims to provide an all-in-one app for crypto users. Their vision is to make crypto assets easier to access and use for everyone, from people who are new to the digital currency scene all the way to crypto experts.

Work process
The problem
We started by conducting research on what made other wallets attractive to users and what made them feel like they belonged to the specific brand. We identified common trends in the way wallets were designed and identified loopholes that Coiner wallet can improve upon them. We conducted extensive research and identified different problems, such as lack of transparency, ease to lose money by making wrong transactions, etc.
The solution
We translated our findings into an actual design system that could be implemented across all of Coiner's products without losing any coherence or consistency between them. We partnered with Coiner Wallet to redesign their app, which allows users to hold, transfer, swap, and purchase crypto assets. The key metrics we improved were: - more users were able to complete transactions on the first try. - users were able to complete more transactions per session than before the redesign. - user retention rate increased significantly.
User research
We had to create a new visual identity for Coiner Wallet that was simple and elegant yet also personalized for their unique audience. So, we discovered Coiner’s values, users and competitors.
At this stage the main goal was to understand which problem we should solve and who is our user.
User Flows
Masterly created a basic visual map of a user’s potential paths through a product—in this case, an app. Visualizing how a user might move through product allowed us to zoom out and consider the effectiveness of its overall structure. This way we could identify and address potential user obstacles to improve navigability.
Visualizing the flow of users through product highlighted friction points and potentially confusing elements before we built them into your design.
Wireframing
Our team created more than 100 wireframes to build the structure of app and to place the elements correctly.
At this way we see the functionality, behaviour and hierarchy of content in its most simple form.
